Week 7 Observations: Unconvincingly Undefeated

“A win is a win.” “You are what your record says you are.” As I took my dog for the traditional postgame walk on Sunday, those two statements served as a mental shield against a bombardment of negative thoughts about the Minnesota Vikings’ 6-0 start. This is the fourth time the Vikings have started 6-0 since 2000, and this is the most worried I’ve been about any of them. In 2000, it didn’t seem out of sorts at all, despite rookie Daunte Culpepper leading the offense, given the successes of 1998 and 1999.
