Seahawks' Sam Darnold to miss Week 2 vs. Cardinals, likely to avoid IR

Sam Darnold will miss the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals, head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Wednesday. "[We] don't anticipate putting him on IR or anything like that," Macdonald said. "We'll just kind of re-evaluate everyday and re-evaluate next week and we'll go from there." Darnold left the field against the New England Patriots following an early sack and was replaced by Drew Lock for the remainder of the game.
