Ray J & Whitney Houston’s Relationship Was Never That Simple

When Ray J was asked point-blank whether he was dating Whitney Houston, he answered with something that sounded more like a riddle than a denial. “A friend who loves a friend,” he told Essence in 2008. By then, the two had attracted plenty of attention through their public outings, but neither seemed particularly interested in defining their relationship for an audience eager to know what was happening behind the scenes.
