As a Texas Supreme Court makes a new ruling, photos surface of Baby Rumi — the child delivered by surrogate McKenna West, who’s been calling him “Gabriel.” As we previously shared, West made headlines as she fled to Texas to “protect” the unborn child, whose parents demanded an abortion. Doctors diagnosed the child in utero (at around 20 weeks) with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (“HLHS”), a serious congenital heart condition that leaves one side of the organ underdeveloped, preventing normal blood flow.
