Janet Jackson’s Designer Says Super Bowl Reveal Was Planned

Janet Jackson’s longtime designer is reopening one of pop culture’s most disputed moments with a blunt claim: the 2004 Super Bowl costume reveal was not a wardrobe malfunction. Wayne Scot Lukas told TMZ Live that the outfit worked as intended when Justin Timberlake tore away part of Jackson’s bustier during the halftime show. Lukas said the costume concept had been changed shortly before the performance and that a planned reveal went far beyond what viewers were supposed to see.
