Drake just made it clear that spending money on women isn’t about getting something in return, and he’s got a whole philosophy to back it up. After Victoria Monet jokingly called him a “trickster” and “trick-or-treat master,” during an interview, the Toronto rapper responded with a statement that basically said generosity is its own reward. He explained that “there’s a return on investment in your soul for doing things for people who you feel deserve it,” and that once you’ve experienced enough joy from material things for yourself, the only way forward is seeing that same joy on other people’s faces.
