CNN, MS NOW And Politico Release Joint Statement To Announce They’re Filing A Lawsuit Over Donald Trump’s White House Press Ban

POLITICO, CNN, and MS NOW have filed a joint federal lawsuit against the Trump administration, seeking to immediately restore White House access for their journalists after their credentials were confiscated by the Secret Service this past Saturday. In a statement released Monday, the news organizations framed the legal action as a defense of fundamental democratic principles. “This morning, we notified the government that we are filing a lawsuit today to protect our First Amendment rights and defend the principle that the government does not decide what the press reports or publishes,” the statement read.
