Bears' Montez Sweat suspended two games for violating NFL PED policy
Chicago Bears defensive end Montez Sweat has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substance policy, according to multiple reports. The 30-year-old will now miss the Bears' Week 6 contest against the Atlanta Falcons and the Week 7 matchup with the New England Patriots on "Thursday Night Football." He will be eligible to return in Week 8 when the Bears visit the Seattle Seahawks on "Monday Night Football" in Week 8. Sweat is in the penultimate year of a four-year, $98 million extension he signed with Chicago after the team acquired him from the Washington Commanders in 2023.
