A Different World Earned Season 2 Renewal After Hillman Revival Took Off

Netflix has renewed “A Different World” for a second season following the revival’s successful return to Hillman College and its introduction of a new generation navigating HBCU life. The comedy brings the beloved world of the original NBC series into the present day with Deborah played by Maleah Joi Moon at the center of the story. Deborah is the youngest child of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, giving the revival a direct family connection to two of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.
